MARA HOFFMAN

Mara Hoffman Resort 2011 Swim Collection
An electric mix of print, colour and design. Hoffman is influenced by nature, culture and a fantasy world, that I for one would love to be a part of. Stunning. You can read her blog here.

STYLE ICON

ALI MACGRAW
The model, actress, and writer is DARING, AND ORIGINAL in her ALL-AMERICAN style. Starting out as an assistant at Harper's Bazaar and then later at Vogue, Ali was discovered when Diana Vreeland decided she belonged on the cover. Known for her signature dark hair, crochet hats and high boots, Ali more than epitomized the 70's look, she created it. And so the hip-preppy girl was born.

In cult-classic film LOVE STORY, McGraw plays Jennifer Cavelleri, a poor, nerdy student with an amazing collegiate wardrobe. There's enough huge glasses, tartan, coloured tights, thick coats, skivvies and high-waisted skirts to go around for both autumn and winter...

FASHION EDITOR Stevie Dance

This editorial's from a couple of issues back but I just love it. It was bought in Australia at Christmas and I think it completely embodies summer. Not to mention Stevie Dance's editorial skill... If only we could all look like this in a bikini?

NEON HEATWAVE

Colour has been a big trend this summer, as I suppose it is every year. But this year there's a real emphasis on the boldest of the lot--neon's. With a hit of the 80's, swim suits have turned sporty and the colours extreme. There's no holding back. Only the brightest, the highest and tightest will survive. It's just that hot.

This week I splurged on the 'Rivera' and 'Nouvelle Vague' colours from Chanel's summer collection. With nails of aqua and pink, they could be mistaken for candy.
