Better late than never right? I'm not quite done with Rosemont Australian Fashion Week yet so here goes. Day one, long-time favourite Zimmermann kicked off the week with a calming collection of cut outs, white and nude textured cottons, chantilly lace and a-typical floral prints. Sisters Nicky and Simone named it Halycon Days in reference to the Greek legend when storms never occurred during the winter. The shapes were quite nautical, ethereal and structured in comparison to their previous work. And although these are a seemingly strange combination of elements, the collection was fluid and still felt like Zimmermann through and through. Just look at it.. I'll be there in the summer.
