I just found out yesterday that I'm going to be having a baby girl next April and couldn't be happier. Looking forward to all this...

"Do not ask your children to strive for extraordinary lives. Such striving may seem admirable, but it is a way of foolishness. Help them instead to find the wonder and the marvel of an ordinary life. Show them the joy of tasting tomatoes, apples and pears. Show them how to cry when pets and people die. Show them the infinite pleasure in the touch of a hand. And make the ordinary come alive for them, The extraordinary will take care of itself."  -William Martin

It's only Tuesday and this week is off to a rough start. What I wouldn't give to hang out at home for the rest of it. But tomorrow is hump day, and I've got something to look forward to...more of that later.

Who could resist these Saint Laurent Mary Jane's? There's always a bit more sparkle around at this time of the year given that it's almost holiday season, but it really is everywhere right now. A little bit of sparkle is never wrong, in fact I'm going to go so far as to say it's almost necessary in the darkness of the winter months. An early Christmas present perhaps, from yours truly...

Still thinking of going back to school. Looking into all the opinions and trying to work out what to apply for--you almost need a degree just to work out how to apply for one. Studying used to be a chore but now I see it more as something I want to do. I want to know more about what I'm interested in and it's kind of thrilling to think that it might actually be possible.

Feels like I've been so busy this weekend but without really having done much...strange. It's been a sky of endless grey here and you think that's dull, it is, but it was pointed out to me today that constant blue skies and hot weather could be equally as uninteresting. Maybe that's true. Maybe constant change, or lack of, is more interesting because it forces you to look inward for inspiration.
